Grimm’s Little Land Yachts

With this small sailing fleet there is a lot to discover when you explore the play worlds created by small world builders. After all, each Grimm’s Little Land Yachts is just as suitable for off-road use in sand as it is on carpeted and wooden floors.

Young explorers will also discover that the sailing fleet also floats wonderfully on water, which is due to the natural buoyancy of wood. Please note: wet wood should only dry at room temperature and not on the heater or in direct sunlight, as can cause cracks to occur.

Each Grimm’s Little Land Yachts has a colour-coordinated sailor on board, who of course can also steer another boat from time to time, but who is always happy to return to his/her own boat. This colour matching and sorting is not always of equal interest to all small and big world builders.

Therefore, as always with free play, the motto is: Anything goes, there are no rules! Through their different colours and different types of wood, the Rainbow Friends reflect our wonderful diverse world as well as celebrating everyone’s uniqueness.

Each one of these little hand-painted wooden figures has a different look and individual wood grain. These happy little wooden figures, made from different types of wood from trees indigenous to central Europe, are gender neutral. With no specific facial expression, they can be either sad or happy.

With their simple appearance they spur on the child’s imagination instead of restricting it by offering too much detail.

Tip: Please secure the sail in its position by carefully tapping with a small hammer. Over time, this will expand and the sail can be removed again.

A lovely wooden Grimm’s Little Land Yachts complete with sail and peg doll.  These yachts can zoom across land or float on the water. The peg doll can be removed from the boat to aid creative play.

These Grimm’s Little Land Yachts are made from lime wood and finished with non-toxic, water-based color stain and plant-based oil.  These natural finishes allow the beauty of the real wood grain to show through.

Each Grimm’s Little Land Yachts measures 12cm x 14cm and the peg dolls are 6cm high. Care should be taken when using wooden toys in water.

These boats are suitable from age 3, not suitable for children under three due to small parts.
